Award-Winning Projects
RenEnergy are pleased to announce their involvement in another award winning project. This time the accolade goes to D & E Builders who so far have received two Master Builder of the Year Awards for a renovation project in Scoulton, Norfolk. The property, owned by Dr & Mrs Dalgliesh, includes a RenEnergy installed solar panel array, ground source heat pump and underfloor heating system. The project won the Large Renovation Project prize and the Energy Efficient prize for the Eastern Counties region, and D & E Builders will now go through to compete in the national finals in March 2013.
Dr Dalgliesh commented on the energy efficiency of the property stating that the “final Energy Performance Certificate gave a result of 86 which we understand is exceptional for a barn restoration. We believe that the comprehensive package [RenEnergy] offered suited our purposes well”.
“We had a house full of family over New Year, and the heating plus hot water have been performing very well over the winter. They draw many complimentary remarks from people who know about these things” added Dr Dalgliesh.
This project is a fine example of how incorporating renewables into any project, whether renovation or new-build, can reduce energy consumption, save on energy bills and minimise the overall impact of the environment.
We congratulate D & E Builders for the awards received so far and wish them all the success at the National results, which are due to be announced, in London, on 21st March.
