- A South facing roof (+/- 15 degrees)
- A shade-free roof space from dawn to dusk
- A minimum roof area of 9sqm
- A minimum height (ridge to eaves) 4m x 3.2m wide
- OR a minimum height (ridge to eaves) 2.3m x 5.7m wide
- A building that currently has mains electricityIt is worth noting that properties which are "listed" or in conservation or national parks are not allowed to install PV unless planning permission is obtained.
