RenEnergy Renewable Heat Incentive Conference

On 28th November 2011 the Government launched the
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) which pays off-gas commercial concerns for the micro-generation of renewable heat. RenEnergy are hosting a conference that will cover RHI eligible technologies as well as the financial benefits of RHI support.

1000 – 1015 Welcome1015 – 1100 The Renewable Heat IncentiveRob Gwillim will be covering all aspects of the Renewable Heat Incentive including: eligible technologies, eligible heat loads, how heat loads will be measured, how the RHI will be calculated, who can and can’t claim and how the RHI will be paid.
Rob Gwillim has been working in the Renewables Industry for the past 22 years. Rob is currently a course leader for the University of East London masters course in Renewable Energy and the Built Environment at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Rob is also a freelance consultant for a wide range of clients including the National Trust, Huntingdon District Council and the Wood Energy Business Scheme.
1100 – 1105 Refreshments1105 – 1150 Biomass Systems and the RHI George Fletcher will be covering how biomass systems work, feasibility, what makes a good biomass project, case studies and the sorts of returns that you can expect from the RHI with a biomass system.
George is Technical Sales Manager at Viessmann who manufacture and supply wood-burning boilers between 50kW and 1250kW under the Austrian KOB brand.
1150 – 1235 Ground Source Heat Pump Systems (GSHP) and the RHI Paul Hever will be discussing how GSHP systems work, feasibility, suitable projects for GSHP with case studies and the sorts of returns that GSHP will produce with RHI support.
Paul is Renewables Manager at Vaillant who supply a range of renewable heat technologies including heat pumps, solar thermal panels and MVHR products.
1240 General questions & summary from RenEnergy1330 – 1415 Designing renewable systems for the Renewable Heat IncentiveRenEnergy will run through system design with RHI eligibility in mind covering key topics such as heat loss, bivalent systems, sizing and metering.
